Youth Mentoring Data

The project aims to optimize the statistical representation of a youth mentoring program in the two Basel regions. The existing data provide qualitative and quantitative insights into the services, target groups, and outcomes of the mentoring program. The statistics cover 16 parameters and must be adaptable to future requirements.

We have analyzed the data and selected a chart type that is both comprehensible and equally effective for all statistics. As a visual language and grammar, we are using countable dot plots. The use of shapes and colors is clearly defined. This method allowed for a consistent visual representation of the data.

The visual representation of the project has been successfully utilized and expanded over several years, demonstrating the long-term value of investing in professional and engaging data visualization. It enabled more effective communication of the impacts and progress of the mentoring program, allowing stakeholders to easily understand the program's reach and effectiveness.
